I have to say that I love the somewhat toy like feel to the mouse and the simple route taken with the animation itself. The textures are simple, but easy on the eye and not overwhelming. The camera animation itself is relatively smooth and does not interfere with the story.
Despite all of the wonderful things in it, there are always things that could be improved. I would suggest adding a tail to the mouse as well as some eyes and a pink nose, just to hammer across the point that it's a real mouse. I would also suggest adding a mouth to the human character so that his feelings of confusion could be conveyed easier. The timing of the mouse and the vase's fall is also a little off, I feel like they would fall more violently and be less slow motion. I would also add in a sound effect for the vase falling to the ground and perhaps some squeaking for the mouse to make it seem more alive.
I think this animation could definitely do more in terms of establishing a story, and having some resolution in terms of the man reacting to the vase breaking. It technically fits the prompt, but I really would've liked to see the man elicit a shocked reaction to the vase breaking in order for it to really tie in with the prompt. I like the cartoony style you were going for, and the character models are nice and simplistic. I think more should've been done with the textures, as most things are flat materials and the walls don't look like they've been textured at all. I think the camera motion is good, and doesn't seem to be overly jerky. The timing was a little off, especially with the mouse's fall. Since that is one of the focal actions, I think it's really important to get that timing right so that the mouse actually looks like it's jumping and not just hovering downwards.
